Faouzi Bahloul

Senior Researcher|Optical Communication Team Leader | Professor ENIT&EPT

Faouzi BAHLOUL has been a teacher at the National Engineering School of Tunis (ENIT) since 2002. His areas of research are the applications of new generation fibers in optical communications systems. His recent work focuses on innovative multiple fiber optic components and fiber lasers. He has many cooperations with : XLIM, LPHIA, AUM, University of Johannesburg, Northern Border University and Yonsei University.

Sofien Mhatli

Associate Professor, ISIK

Sofien Mhatli is currently a Senior Researcher at the Ecole Polytechnique de Tunis, La Marsa, Tunisia, and a Telecommunications Engineer at the Ministry of National Defense, Tunis, Tunisia. His expertise is focused on designing and optimizing optical and microwave devices for applications in wireless telecom, sensing systems, and optical communication systems (SDH, WDM, PON, CO-OFDM, IM-DD...). His research interests include digital signal processing, algorithmic design (e.g., machine learning), and optical devices (e.g., MZM) for optical communications. The outcome of his research resulted in prestigious peer-reviewed journal papers and top conference presentations (e.g., OSA Optics Letters, OFC, IEEE Photonics Journal, ECOC).(Based on document published on 8 March 2017). Prof.Mhatli he is now international IT & Cloud Trainer who deliver training courses in different countries such as France, suisse, UAE, KSA, Morocco, Ivory Cost, Senegal, Congo, Egypt, Jordanie, Butswana, Zimbabwei Prof.Mhatli his research topic are in the filed of Communications & cybersecyurity in the cloud or onpremises infrastructure.

Aymen Belhadj Taher

Senior Researcher|Associate Professor

Aymen BELHADJ TAHER was born on May 25, 1987. His passion for teaching encouraged him to pursue higher education. After completing master degree from Tunis El Manar University. Aymen received a Scholarship to study optics science at Limoges University in France, where he received a Ph.D. in 2016. His research project is interested in tapered structures to make the coupling. Currently, he is an assistant professor at the higher institute of computer science of mednine since 2017.

Radhouan Aloui

Senior Researcher

Radhouan Aloui is an engineer with a Ph.D. in electrical engineering (Microwave electronics). He obtained his B.S. and M.S. degrees from the National Engineering School of Carthage at the University of Carthage in 2015. He then went on to earn his Ph.D. from the same university in 2021. Throughout his studies, Alou gained research experience working as a Research Assistant at both the Intelligent Electricity & ICT Research Laboratory (ET TIC Lab) from 2016 to 2021 and the Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC). At CTTC, he even collaborated with the Comsec team, co-supervising a Ph.D. student.

Mabrouka Zemzmi

PhD Student

Mabrouka Zeemzin is a PhD student pursuing advanced research in the field of network slicing. Her work focuses on utilizing federated learning (AF) in conjunction with blockchain technology to dynamically allocate resources and ensure data privacy within network slicing frameworks. This innovative approach holds promise for enhancing the security and efficiency of next-generation communication networks.

Marwa Sammouda

Associate Professor, ISI-Kef

Marwa SAMMOUDA is currently a researcher in communication systems at the SERCOM laboratory of the École Polytechnique de Tunis (EPT). She graduated from the National Engineering School of Tunis (ENIT) in 2015 as a Telecommunication engineer. She obtained her PhD in communication systems from the same school in 2020. Her research in optics and photonics was co-supervised by the University of Tunis El Manar (ENIT) and the University of Limoges (XLIM Research Institute/XLIM Laboratory). Her expertise is focused on studying original optical coupling structures with tapered microstructured air-silica cannes.

Sana Gharsalli

PhD student

Sana Gharssalli is a PhD student at the Ecole Polytechnique de Tunis (EPT) working on an advanced research project likely in materials science and electromagnetics. Her title, "Liquid Metal Reconfigurable Phase Shifters and Surfaces," suggests development of innovative materials with applications in flexible electronics, wearable devices, and electromagnetic systems. This is a promising area of research with potential for future advancements.

Fatma Ben Braham

Assistant Professor, ISSAT KASSERINE

FATMA BEN BRAHAM is currently a researcher at the SERCOM laboratory of the Ecole Polytechnique de Tunis (EPT). She is an associate professor at Higher Institute of Applied Science and Technology of Kasserine since 2022. She obtained her Telecommunication engineering degree from the National Engineering School of Tunis (ENIT) in 2013. She also graduated from the ENIT as a doctor in communication systemes in 2018. Her PhD was a cooperation between the SERCOM Laboratory and the LPHIA Laboratory (the University of Angers). As a researcher, she is interested in the DSR regime and the intelligent fiber lasers.
